I'm so glad you're here.
What I do.....
While I've got a list of things I've done over the years included here, what I really do is make things. I love playing with photographs and materials to see what wants to be revealed. A lot of my work revolves around the elements, nature and what the energy of the moment dictates. I use alternative processes, mixed media and found objects to frame & present my images to let them breathe instead of living behind a pane of glass.  Other work includes TONS of journals that are receptacles for my thoughts, ideas and experiments that have yet manifest,  and my travel photography that keeps me company when I get to wander this world. This space is where I'm culling together my years of being both an artist and a teacher.
Professional experience....
I've been an artist and teacher for now 26 years.  My current position is as a full time Art Teacher at Edison High School for Fairfax County Public Schools in Alexandria, Virginia where I teach Photography, Digital Art & Design & Studio Art.  I have also taught for the Off-Campus Graduate Art Program for Virginia Commonwealth University teaching a variety of photography & mixed media courses.
