Coffeeshop Dispatch Vol. 10

We are into 2026 and so.much.has.happened.already. What is there to say other than, we have to just keep going. In the midst of what is proving to be a rather brutal winter on many levels, I did manage a quick trip to CT to see family & to NYC for some inspiration, had a few chaotic and ice-covered weeks that threw a few wrenches in my class schedule, (which have thankfully been rescheduled, and thanks to everyone who have rolled with the changes!!! ) followed by a series of powerful moments witnessing the Venerable Monks on their Walk For Peace. Today I will see the Monks again as they leave Alexandria on their way into Arlington and onward into Washington, D.C.. The fact that so much is going on while they are just peacefully and consistently walking daily, calmly, mindfully is not lost on anyone & I hope that it has lasting effects throughout the area and the country. Topping off this message of peace with the EPIC Half Time performance by Bad Bunny yesterday that was an injection of good vibes, I think things have pivoted and for that I’m grateful. Let’s keep it going.

Lens Punk Scrapbook

While I took a break from the blog for January I was happy to have a few things going on behind the scenes. I was thrilled to be asked to be a part of an online scrapbook created by Dom of Lens Punk. Dom is a British Photographer based in Japan and has been reimagining his photography thru both what he captures and how he captures images by reworking and inventing new equipment. I was happy to contribute to his project which he has shared on his site.

In light of all that’s been going on in Minnesota I did a small Tshirt sale to try and raise funds for Minneapolis. I am also donating all proceeds to the Protest Art on my shop page that is currently up. I will be refreshing my site next month so if you see anything of interest it’d be wise to grab it now because things are going to change soon! Thank you to all who got a $20 tshirt and if you’re still interested in the sale, DM me on IG or shoot me an email!

Walk For Peace traveling through Virginia

As I look at the year ahead and try to plan what’s next I’m thinking a lot about how to build out my website and re-calibrate my focus. It’s hard to zero in on anything when everything is in flux but we try. I am excited to be creating a new collection of pieces for my next Featured Artist Show at the Workhouse in May and will be announcing the dates for that soon. I am also making some fun things to share in more Studio Fit reels on IG so keep an eye out for those, weather withstanding!

Thanks for being here!~
