Illusory Theatre - Original Mixed Media Photograph Mounted On Wood Board

$800.00

I can hear Phantom of the Opera when I look at this image. The energy of that opulence built upon rocks and ruins. This image communicates that journey a theatre takes accumulating all the scars of repetitive use along the way. It’s beaten but still glows. The image has been layered digitally with a scanned painting, then printed and mounted onto wooden board, and then painted and drawn into. I wanted to capture the feeling of that era when looking at it, as if you could see the candles flickering as the worn floorboards creak.

Digital photograph mounted on 24” x 24” 3/4” wood board, ready to hang.
